ABOUT A4HPV

A4HPV is an action-oriented Alliance to founded to join in the fight to eliminate HPV and cervical cancer in 2021. It was first driven with a goal to develop Singapore’s very own Action Plan to Accelerate Cervical Cancer Elimination by 2030. Today, A4HPV has grown and recognised as the Commonwealth Youth Taskforce on HPV and Cervical Cancer and an active member of the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS). We bring together policy makers; medical experts; researchers and academics; leaders from the education; community representatives; advocates from women and healthcare groups; and business communities like you, to join in the fight against HPV cancer across the Commonwealth.

Friendship Circles

We hosted a truly inspiring Friendship Circles event in partnership with NTUC U Women & Family and She Singapore . Over 50 women joined us for a warm and heartfelt afternoon focused on health, hope, and resilience 💪 Our advocate and guest speaker, Eileen Dong, a courageous cancer survivor who has beaten cancer four times, touched our hearts with her powerful story of strength. She shared the battles she's faced and the strength she’s found in her loved ones, especially her 5-year-old daughter, Alison. Young Alison, already an inspiring artist, created a beautiful piece imagining her mother as a unicorn with a mane of vibrant colours - her vision of beauty and strength even through the most difficult moments 🩷🧡❤️

We also learnt from Dr Renette Ang more about cancer prevention and the jabs we could take. In true Friendship Circles style, we organised breakout groups where women shared personal experiences, exchanged hugs and encouragement, and formed genuine connections. Our mentors and volunteers facilitated these circles with warmth and enthusiasm, creating a space where no story was too small, and every moment was meaningful 🌸🌸🌸

Join A4HPV as we rally everyone to be part of this movement that we can to eliminate cervical cancer. In collaboration with Tree Art, we have organised an art competition and fundraising campaign to support SATA CommHealth in their new Community Initiative to provide free 9-valent HPV vaccination to underserved women aged 27 to 45 in Singapore.
